Utah Jazz Take On The Detroit Pistons

The Utah Jazz (24-16) welcome in the Detroit Pistons (18-23) to Vivint Smart Home Arena Friday night at 8:30 PM.  The Jazz will be looking for their 4th straight win at home while the Pistons are coming into the game on a back-to-back as they lost to the Golden State Warriors on Thursday, 127-107.  The Jazz are currently tied with the Oklahoma City Thunder for 1st place in the Northwest Division and are the 5th seed in the Western Conference, 2.5 games behind the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Utah Jazz are led in scoring by Gordon Hayward at 22.2 points per game and is coming off of a 28-point performance on Tuesday against the Cavaliers.  He spoke with the media following morning shoo around.  Here is the audio:

The Jazz will be challenged defensively again tonight against the Pistons.  Rudy Gobert will be a big factor for the team’s success on defense.  He leads the NBA in blocked shots at 2.53 per game.  He also leads the team in grabbing 12.3 rebounds per game.  He talked following shoot around with the media:

The Utah Jazz are finally healthy as the season will be halfway done following tonight’s contest.  This will be the 4th game in a row without the Jazz have anyone on their injury report.  Their depth got them through the first half of the season, now let’s just hope that they can remain healthy the rest of the way.  This is a game where the Jazz need to take advantage of the Pistons playing in a back-to-back.  It would be great if they could limit some of the minutes for their main guys as they will be playing in a back-to-back on Saturday as they take on the Orlando Magic at home.  As Gordon Hayward said during shoot around, every game makes a difference in the standings.  They need to win this one.

Utah Jazz Head Coach Quin Snyder talked with the media this morning following shoot around:
