Former Utah forward Kyle Kuzma announced via Twitter Wednesday he will hire an agent and stay in the 2017 NBA Draft.

He declared for the draft on March 21st, but retained¬†the chance to return to school if the NBA outlook wasn’t in his favor. It appears the outlook is positive enough for Kuzma, who leaves the Utes after three seasons.

“I want to thank all of my teammates over the past three years that have been more than just teammates to me,” said Kuzma in his tweet. Speaking to Utah fans, he continued “I can truly say that I laid it on the line every night just to make you guys proud of our program and this outstanding university. Once a Ute always a Ute.”

Kuzma averaged 16.4 points for the Utes in the 2016-17 season, with 9.3 rebounds and 2.4 assists in over thirty minutes per night. He is projected by many publications to be selected in the second round of the draft, but several other prospects are expected to announce a return to college.
