The Utah Jazz will return to the court on Wednesday after 3 days off as they welcome in the Portland Trail Blazers to Vivint Smart Home Arena at 7:00 PM. Utah Jazz forward Derrick Favors missed practice today with flu-like symptoms. He is listed as questionable for tomorrow night’s home opener.
The Jazz will have their challenges with Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers. He will be a tough test for Raul Neto. Neto plays well defensively, it will be good to see how Neto does going up against Lillard. Top point guards is what the Western Conference brings every night. Utah Jazz talked about the matchup between Lillard and Neto as well as other things as he met with the media after practice today:
The media was also able to catch up with Joe Ingles after practice today. Ingles is averaging 5.3 points off the bench for the Jazz through the first 3 games. As always, he had fun with the media. Here is the audio:
Utah Jazz forward Gordon Hayward as nothing but respect from his teammates. Hayward is definitely one of the team leaders on this year’s young team. He hasn’t been able to put up big numbers through the first 3 games of the season, but he does a lot of other things that helps make the team successful. It is good to see him step up as a leader.
