LEARFIELD, the multimedia rights holder for Utah Athletics, has revealed the broadcast crew set to cover the Runnin’ Utes during the upcoming 2023-24 season.

In his impressive 14th season as the “Voice of the Utes,” Bill Riley returns to provide his authoritative and captivating commentary. Joining him in the broadcast booth is former Utah basketball player, Sean Mooney, who will take on the role of analyst. Mooney, a notable member of the revered 1990-91 Runnin’ Utes team, showcased his prowess on the court when they triumphantly clinched the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) regular-season championship and advanced to the Sweet 16. That memorable squad, boasting a remarkable 30-4 overall record, including a dominant 15-1 performance in conference play, left an indelible mark on Utah basketball history.

The Runnin’ Utes are set to welcome a cohort of new faces for the upcoming season, injecting fresh energy and potential into the roster. The group consists of four guards: Hunter Erickson, Cole Bajema, Deivon Smith, and Jerry Huang, along with two forwards, Jake Wahlin and Ayomide Bamisile, and one center, Lawson Lovering. Among the newcomers, four are transfers from other institutions, while the remaining three are promising freshmen eager to make their mark.
