The Utah Utes opened up the 2016 spring practice session.  Headlining the day were quarterbacks Brandon Cox, Troy Williams, and Tyler Huntley.

The Utes are looking to replace four-year starter Travis Wilson.  Cox is the only returning quarterback for the Utes, while Williams transferred from Santa Monica College after playing at the University of Washington.  Huntley is a freshman, and was the Gatorade Player of the Year in Florida.

Sophomore wide receiver Raelon Singleton exited practice after a leg injury, appearing to be a hamstring injury.  Sophomore defensive back Casey Hughes was injured on the field and was eventually carted off the field.
