The call for a peaceful rivalry game

A joint letter from Mark Harlan and Tom Holmoe.

The BYU-Utah rivalry is one of the oldest in the country and continues to produce drama year after year. This year, each teams’ AD have teamed up to call for a peaceful rivalry game.

[Harlan and Holmoe] are “teaming up to ask our fans to treat each other and this game with the respect it deserves as one of the longest rivalry series in the country.”

They go on to say, “Families and fans on both sides deserve a positive experience within and around Rice-Eccles Stadium. There is incredible tradition, passion and excitement surrounding the Utah-BYU rivalry, so let’s make it fun for all as we cheer on our respective teams.”

Utah and BYU kick-off at Rice-Eccles Stadium, Saturday, November 24 at 8:00 p.m. on FS1.
