Utah Jazz Defeat Los Angeles Clippers In Preseason Action

The Utah Jazz improve their preseason record to 3-2 as they get by the Los Angeles Clippers (2-3) on Monday night at Vivint Smart Home  Arena, 104-78.  The Jazz shot (40-77) 51.9% from the floor in the win and held the Clippers to (29-74) 39.2% shooting.  The Jazz also out rebounded the Clippers (43-37) and our assisted the Clippers (23-15) on their way to the victory.  The Clippers were without Blake Griffin, DeAndre Jordan, and Chris Paul as they all sat out the game.  The Jazz were without Alec Burks, Gordon Hayward, Rodney Hood, and Derrick Favors.  The Utah Jazz were led by Rudy Gobert, who finished the night with 17 points and 10 rebounds.

Dante Exum had a nice game as he played a team-high 31:42.  He scored 15 points and handed out 6 assists.  Here he is with the media following the game:

The Utah Jazz will wrap up their preseason schedule on Wednesday as they take on the Portland Trail Blazers in game #6 at Vivint Smart Home Arena at 7:00 PM.  This was a nice win for the Jazz.  It was good to see progression.  Dante Exum played well and Rudy Gobert continues his dominant play.  Regular season play begins on Tuesday, October 25 on the road against the Portland Trail Blazers.  It will be interesting to see how this team continues to develop and hopefully they will get healthy soon.
