Real Salt Lake will open the 2020 MLS season on the road at Orlando City SC on Saturday, February 29 at 3:30 PM and the home opener will be against New York Red Bulls on Saturday, March 7 at 12 PM. Throughout March RSL will face Columbus on the road, New England at home, and Sporting Kansas City on the road. In April Real will have the first round of the Rocky Mountain Cup, LAFC on the road, reigning MLS Champions Seattle Sounders at home, and league new-comers Inter Miami CF.
RSL will open May with a road match against Atlanta United FC which will be followed by six consecutive matches against western conference opponents, including June 6 against FC Dallas. June will have matches at Philadelphia Union and Toronto FC with one home match against Houston Dynamo.
July will begin with a home match against rivals Sporting Kansas City on the 1st at 8 PM and a road match at LA Galaxy on the 4th. On July 18th Real will face the other new-comers Nashville SC, who are temporarily in the western conference, on the road before playing Minnesota United on the 25th.
August will bring home matches against Montreal Impact and Nashville FC and away matches against Houston, FC Dallas, and Colorado Rapids, which will decide the Rocky Mountain Cup. September will have just three matches, one home against FC Cincinnati and two away against San Jose and Portland Timbers. Real Salt Lake will close out the regular season against LAFC on October 4 at 2:30 PM.
Real Salt Lake will have three sets of back-to-back road matches (March 28 SKC and April 4 Vancouver – August 1 Houston Dynamo and August 8 FC Dallas – September 19 San Jose and September 26 Portland) and three sets of back-to-back home matches (April 25 Seattle and April 29 Miami – May 16 San Jose and May 23 Galaxy – August 29 Nashville and September 12 Cincinnati).
With Nashville and Miami joining the league each team will miss out on three opponents in the opposite conference this year. This year for Real Salt Lake those opponents are DC United, Chicago Fire, and NYCFC.
