Utah Jazz

Game Day for the Utah Jazz

The Utah Jazz (5-14) take on the Orlando Magic (7-14) tonight at EnergySolutions Arena at 7:00 PM. The Jazz will be looking to snap their 7-game losing streak while the Magic have lost 6 out of their last 7 games. The Jazz will be without Alec Burks for his second straight game who is out with left shoulder inflammation. Utah Jazz forward Jeremy Evans participated in shootaround today and will be able to play tonight after being out with an ankle injury.

This is game 5 of a 6-game road trip for the Orlando Magic. The Jazz should be able to take care of business tonight at home even without Burks. The Jazz are led by Gordon Hayward who is averaging 19.4 points per game. Derrick Favors is averaging 16.1 points a game and grabbing 8.4 rebounds per game. The Jazz need to do the little things. They need to hold on to the ball and not allow easy baskets for the Magic. They need to play solid defense, including those providing help defense. The Jazz need to start off the game well and not let the Magic take the early advantage.

Trey Burke has had some good games against the Magic in the past and needs to do that again tonight. He mentioned at shootaround this morning that it is all about confidence when he faces the Magic. Here is Trey Burke with the media following shootaround:

Utah Jazz Head Coach Quin Snyder wants to see some consistent play out his team tonight. He is pleased with their development and knows that they have a lot to improve still. Here is the audio from Quin Snyder meeting with the media following shootaround today:
