The Utah Jazz held another pre-draft workout this morning as they brought in 6 more players as they are looking for 3 players to fill their picks on Thursday, June 25. They brought in 5 guards and 1 forward today. This was the team’s 10th workout they have held this offseason.
Dustin Hogue from Iowa State was the forward brought in. The 5 guards included Ryan Boatright from Connecticut, Norman Powell out of UCLA, Chasson Randle from Stanford, Sir’Dominic Pointer out of St. John’s, and Tennessee’s Josh Richardson.
Norman Powell is a 6′ 4″ guard out of UCLA where he averaged 16.4 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in 34.6 minutes of play during his senior season. he was named to the All-Pac-12 First Team in 2013, 2014, and 2015. Here he is with the media following his workout:
Chasson Randle is a 6′ 2″ guard from Stanford who went up against Powell a few times. During his 4-year career at Stanford he averaged 16.5 points per game and was named to the 2015 All-Pac-12 First team. He also received the 2015 Pac-12 Scholar-Athlete of the Year award. Tennessee’s Josh Richardson is a 6′ 6″ guard who averaged 16.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.6 assists in 36.3 minutes per game during his senior season. He received 2015 All-SEC First team honors and was selected to the All-SEC Defensive team in 2014 and 2015. He talked with the media following his workout. Here is that audio:
