Queens of the Stone Age: Desert Rock Legends Hit the Road
Queens of the Stone Age are one of rock music’s most distinctive bands, known for their heavy guitar riffs, hypnotic grooves, gritty vocals, and unmistakable desert-rock sound. Formed in Palm Desert, California, in 1996, the band is led by vocalist and guitarist Josh Homme, alongside guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen, bassist Michael Shuman, keyboardist and guitarist Dean Fertita, and drummer Jon Theodore.
Blending hard rock, alternative rock, and psychedelic influences, QOTSA have built a loyal following with songs like “No One Knows,” “Go With the Flow,” “Little Sister,” and “Make It Wit Chu.” Their acclaimed albums include Rated R, Songs for the Deaf, …Like Clockwork, Villains, and In Times New Roman….
The band has earned multiple GRAMMY nominations and a reputation for electrifying live performances that combine powerful riffs, dark melodies, and raw energy.
In 2026, Queens of the Stone Age are preparing to launch a new chapter with Perfecth, their ninth studio album, scheduled for release October 30, 2026. The album leads into their newly announced Perfecth World Tour, bringing the band back to major venues across the United States in May 2027, with special guests Pixies and Wheelchair Sports Camp on the U.S. dates.
