Weezer
Few bands have had the staying power, unmistakable sound and pop-culture impact of Weezer. Formed in Los Angeles in 1992, the alternative rock band broke onto the scene with their self-titled debut album, Weezer (The Blue Album), in 1994. Featuring instantly recognizable songs like “Buddy Holly,” “Undone – The Sweater Song” and “Say It Ain’t So,” the album became a defining record of the ’90s and established Weezer as one of alternative rock’s most beloved bands.
Led by founding frontman Rivers Cuomo, Weezer has continued to evolve while staying true to the catchy guitar-driven sound that made them famous. The band followed The Blue Album with Pinkerton, which became a cult classic, and went on to release a string of successful albums including The Green Album, Maladroit, Everything Will Be Alright in the End, White Album and OK Human.
Known for their energetic live shows and catalog of sing-along hits, Weezer has remained a major force in rock music for more than three decades. Their 2026 WEEZER: The Gathering tour brings the band back to the road with The Shins and Silversun Pickups.
