The Jazz Completely Shutdown The Hawks

The Jazz knocked off the Atlanta Hawks 95-68 on Friday night. The Hawks came into the night as the best defensive team in the league. However, it was the Jazz who imposed their will defensively in this game. Rudy Gobert had five blocked shots, and held Dwight Howard scoreless in the first half. Gobert completely dominated Howard throughout the game.

Gordon Hayward was also dialed in on both ends of the floor. He scored 17 first half points and finished the game with 24. George Hill looked good in his second game back despite struggling with flu like symptoms. Hill scored 23 points to go along with five rebounds and two steals.

This was one of the most complete games the Jazz have played all season. Other than a stretch in the second quarter where Atlanta looked to be weathering the storm, the Jazz controlled this one from start to finish. Hayward and Hill looked to have great chemistry in only their third game together this season.

Utah will try to continue their strong play on Monday night in Minnesota. The Jazz will then return home to take on the Rockets on Tuesday night.
