Breaking Benjamin is an American rock band formed in 1999, originally from Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. The band is known for its heavy, melodic sound, blending elements of hard rock, alternative rock, and post-grunge. Breaking Benjamin was founded by lead vocalist and guitarist Benjamin Burnley, who is the band's primary songwriter and the only constant member throughout its various lineups. Their breakthrough came with the release of their second album, We Are Not Alone (2004), which featured the hit singles "So Cold" and "The Diary of Jane." These tracks propelled the band into mainstream success.
