1956 – Mel Parnell of the Boston Red Sox pitched a no-hitter 4-0 no-hitter against Chicago.
1967 – Eddie Mathews of the Houston Astros hits his 500th home run against San Francisco.
1968 – Hank Aaron of the Milwaukee Braves hits his 500th home run against San Francisco.
1970 – Pete Rose of the Cincinnati Reds barrels over Ray Fosse in the All-Star Game.
