The Utah Jazz Welcome In The Los Angeles Lakers

The Utah Jazz (29-18) will look to snap their 2-game losing streak Thursday night as they take on the Los Angeles Lakers (16-33) at Vivint smart Home Arena at 8:30 PM.  The game will be televised on TNT.  The Jazz can sweep their 4-game series over the Lakers with a win.

Here is Utah Jazz Head Coach Quin Snyder with the media after shoot around:

The Jazz are currently 5th in the Western Conference, they trail the Los Angeles Clippers (30-17) by a game of the 4th seed.  The Lakers are last place in the Western Conference.  They have lost 7 out of their last 8 games.  The Jazz need to jump out early and not let the Lakers hang around.  The Jazz have to take advantage of the Lakers playing on a back-to-back.  The Jazz are tops in the NBA defensively as they only give up 95.5 points per game.  The Lakers, on the other hand, give up 110.3 points per game.

Rodney Hood is listed as questionable for tonight’s game.  He talked with the media following shoot around this morning:

In other Jazz news today, the team has assigned forward Joel Bolomboy to the Salt Lake City Stars of the NBA D-League.  This is the 11th time he has been assigned to the Stars this season.
