Naomi Osaka ‘Happy Again’ After Dominating Olympic Opener

Naomi Osaka returned to the tennis court for the first time in nearly two months at the Olympics – and looks as dominant as ever.

The 23-year-old superstar dispatched China’s Zheng Saisai 6-1, 6-4 in her first match since quitting the French Open in late May to focus on her mental health.

After the win, Osaka told reporters her break was “very much needed” and that “I’m happy again”.

Osaka is competing for the host country Japan, and lit the Olympic cauldron at the Opening Ceremonies.

How did you feel about Osaka’s decision to skip the French Open and Wimbledon? Will she win Olympic gold?
