Seattle Kraken Sign First Players Ahead Of Expansion Draft

The NHL’s newest franchise, the Seattle Kraken, will fill out their roster tonight with the Expansion Draft. But the team is already signing their first players.

According to reports, the Kraken has signed former Oilers defenseman Adam Larsson to a four-year, $16 million deal. They will also add Dallas Stars defenseman, Jamie Oleksiak.

Both players are set to become unrestricted free agents later this month.

The Kraken will select a total of 30 players, one from each NHL team. Selections will be announced tonight in a Draft special airing on ESPN2 and NBCSN at 8 pm EST.

How long will it take for the Kraken to be playoff contenders? How would you handle an expansion draft?
