Another Superstar Coming to MLS

It all started back in 2007 when David Beckham announced he would be leaving Real Madrid to join the L.A. Galaxy.  One of the most famous players in the world joined Major League Soccer and brought the spotlight with him.  Then came Thierry Henry (NYRB), Didier Drogba (Montreal), Kaka (Orlando), Frank Lampard (NYCFC), Andrea Pirlo (NYCFC), David Villa (NYCFC), Bastian Schweinsteiger (Chicago Fire), Ashley Cole (L.A. Galaxy), and Steven Gerrard (L.A. Galaxy)…and now another superstar has announced their arrival.  Zlatan Ibrahimovic was officially released from Manchester United just yesterday, and after courting him for almost three years, the L.A. Galaxy announced the signing of the Lion, in the most Zlatan way possible.

In his time at Manchester United, Zlatan had 53 appearance, 29 goals, and 10 assists, helping the Red Devils win the Community Shield, EFL Cup, and Europa League.  The Swedish international also spent time at Barcelona, Juventus, AC Milan, and Paris Saint-Germain.

While I wish he wasn’t going to L.A. like almost every other superstar does, I cannot wait to see him at Rio Tinto Stadium on September 1st.

If you don’t follow Zlatan Ibrahimovic on Twitter and Instagram, you must.  He’s cocky in the best way.  For even more laughs you might want to try googling “Zlatan Christmas present,” “Zlatan Chevy Ad Korean TV,” and “Zlatan Tweets.
