Crucial Stretch in Next 5 games for Utes

The University of Utah, with two of their three non conference games out of the way, now enter a crucial five game stretch that could very well determine their season. Utah hosts number 10 ranked Washington, before enjoying a bye well, then heading immediately into a gauntlet of games at Washington State, at Stanford, then returning home to Arizona and USC.

Of those games, Arizona appears to be the most likely win, both because the Utes will be at home, and because Arizona looks like the softest team in the conference through a winless two weeks. Washington State is still a mystery, putting up loads of offensive production against Wyoming and San Jose State. The Utes have lost three straight to WSU, unable to keep up with Mike Leach’s offensively system.

Washington, Stanford, and USC will be touch match ups for Utah, with 9th ranked Stanford coming on the road. Washington and USC will make treks to Salt Lake City to take on the Utes who will have to play better than they did against Norther Illinois should they hope to win the PAC-12 South.
