Gobert named to NBA All-Defensive Team

Rudy Gobert was named to the NBA’s All-Defensive first team on Wednesday, the third consecutive season he has made the list, all first team selections. The award comes as no surprise for the reigning Defensive Player of the Year.

Gobert is also a finalist to repeat as DPOY, alongside Milwuakee’s Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Oklahoma City’s Paul George. According to BetOnline, Gobert is the odds on favorite to win the award for a second consecutive season.

The All-Defensive teams are as follows:

First team:

F: Paul George

F: Giannis Antetokounmpo

G: Marcus Smart

G: Eric Bledsoe

Second team:

C: Joel Embiid

F: Draymond Green

F: Kawhi Leonard

G: Jrue Holiday

G: Klay Thompson
