Real Salt Lake head coach Mike Petke joined the media after practice on Monday. RSL, who typically don’t practice on Mondays, wanted to get the tough home loss against LAFC on Saturday out of their minds and move forward. Petke sited their losses in Texas during the summer, where they gave up 11 goals over 2 games, saying the team came back from those stronger and ready to turn things around. Before hitting the field today the team had a “very lengthy, and very direct, and very good meeting” and watched about 45 minutes of film from Saturday. Petke said the result is “gone but not forgotten” and “it can never happen again.”
