Jazz lose in Grayson Allen’s first start

The Jazz rookie scores 9 points in start.

In the first knuckle-dragging matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies, Grayson Allen notched his first professional minutes of the regular season. The second time? The former Duke standout earned his first start and learned more about the NBA.

He finished a team low -18 in the plus/minus on 3-8 shooting for 9 points. The Grizzlies moved to 2-0 against the Jazz with the 110-100 win.

The high point was a dunk in the first quarter.

With 27 minutes logged, Allen will have plenty of tape to examine before tomorrow night against the Denver Nuggets.
