The first local coaching domino of the college football cycle places Matt Wells to Texas Tech. The Big 12 school made it official this afternoon.

Wells earned 2-time Mountain West Coach of the Year honors in six seasons at Utah State. He accrued a 44-34 record overall with a 2-2 bowl record.
