National Parks In Utah To Waive Admission August 25

The National Park Service is celebrating their 99th birthday, and will be offering free admission to parks across America on Tuesday, Aug. 25.

In addition to National Parks, these areas in Utah will also waive admission fees Tuesday:

  • Arches National Park
  • Bryce Canyon National Park
  • Canyonlands National Park
  • Capitol Reef National Park
  • Cedar Breaks National Monument
  • Dinosaur National Monument
  • Glen Canyon National Recreation Area
  • Golden Spike National Historic Site
  • Natural Bridges National Monument
  • Zion National Park

President Woodrow Wilson signed legislation on Aug. 25, 1916 to create the National Park Service, and today there are 408 national parks across the country.

Besides this Tuesday, fee-free dates this year include National Public Lands Day on Sept. 26 and Veterans Day on Nov. 11.
