Nick Rimando – Post-training Sound – 3-8-18

Nick Rimando joined the media after training today.  The long-time Real Salt Lake goalkeeper is in his 12th season with the club and, once again, made great saves against F.C. Dallas, including one off the line, and kept RSL in the game last weekend.

Real Salt Lake is preparing to host LAFC for the first time this weekend.  LAFC head coach Bob Bradley got his team off to a great start, winning their inaugural game on the road against Seattle.  Carlos Vela and Diego Rossi were dangerous on the attack but the LAFC defense looked suspect, despite the clean sheet.

If Real Salt Lake worked out their defensive issues from F.C. Dallas, their experience as a team and home advantage should be enough to take all three points this weekend.  Damir Krielach and Shawn Barry were bright spots for the team against Dallas and look to solidify their spots in the squad again this weekend.  Rusnak, Plata, and Savarino looked to have picked up right where they left off while Silva seemed a little rusty and may have opened a window for off-season signing Alfredo Ortuno.

Real Lake Salt kicks off against LAFC at 1:55 PM.  Catch our coverage beginning at 1 PM on ESPN700.
