They have met 41 pervious time and today’s match, if the rain finally subsides on the East Coast, could be big. Federer has not been in the finals at the U.S. Open since 2008. If Federer wins it will be his 6th U.S. Open title. At 34, Federer is still earning the the claim author David Foster Wallace once make: that the Swiss tennis player is “of flesh and not.”

Novak Djokovic, at 28, is no slouch whatsoever, but he has only one U.S. Open title. He has made it to the finals four other times.
