Real Monarchs Move Forward with Positive Results

Salt Lake City, Saturday April 27th, 2015 – Head coach of the Real Monarchs Freddy Juarez said that during the 0-1 loss to LA Galaxy II, as far as possessing the ball, they were a lot better. The team played solid in the back of the formation, and over all, the team is headed in the right direction.

Additional players added to the Monarchs roster are being implemented within the formations, and Juarez said that he is seeing positive results.

“It’s a good group. I feel a lot better than the last two times that I have been up here, and I think [the team] sensed it too. Two of the players have quickly come up after the game and said, ‘We’re getting better.’ That is a sign of relief that the guys are sensing it, so that’s a plus,” said Juarez.

Returning from a 5-2 loss against Colordado, Juarez said that he felt that this game was a bounceback and the team will continue to move forward.

In the game against LA Galaxy, Max Rauhofer and Ricardo Velazco had 3 shots. Garett Losee had 1 shot, Jordan Murell had 3, Lucas Baldin had 2, and Danilo Acosta and Alec Sundly both had 1 shot.

As an additional player to the Monarchs, with the additional players such as Rauhofer, who plays as a strong forward brings a different dynamic to the team, they would like to see him have more ball possession. Danilo Acosta and and Emilio Orozco are defenders who play well in the back formation.

Juarez said that he is impressed with the way his players have overcome the challenges that have presented themselves during the season thus far.

Looking forward to the coming weeks, Juarez said that he hopes to see more rhythm from the team, and interchange players in the formation as well.
