It’s official – Richard Sherman is joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The veteran cornerback signed a one-year deal that was announced Wednesday. Because this is 2021, Sherman discussed the deal on his podcast, calling it “the best offer I had, the best opportunity to go out there and put some great tape on”. Sherman also said it was hard to turn down an invite from Tom Brady: “He’s the all-time great quarterback reaching out, and anytime he makes that call, it’s a very difficult opportunity to pass up”.
The 33-year-old Sherman could see playing time very soon – the Bucs are dealing with injuries to multiple cornerbacks. How has Brady been able to attract so many veteran stars to join him in Tampa? Does Sherman have anything left in the tank?
