Real Salt Lake’s homegrown midfielder Corey Baird wins the 2018 MLS Rookie of the Year award. Baird is the first Real Salt Lake player in club history to come away with rookie of the year honors.
A three-year star at Stanford, Baird came off the bench in the third game of the season for RSL and became a contributor to the rest of the season for the team.
Baird beat out Orland’s Chris Mueller, Philadelphia’s Mark McKenzie, LAFC’s Joao Moutinho, and Seattle’s Alex Roldan.
