Real Salt Lake announced today that they will host German side Eintracht Frankfurt in an international friendly on Tuesday, July 10th. This is the third summer in a row that Real Salt Lake will host a European team. RSL welcomed Inter Milan in 2016 and Manchester United in 2017 to Rio Tinto Stadium, falling 2-1 to both. Eintracht is currently in fourth in the Bundesliga and is home to American international Timothy Chandler. This will be the team’s first visit to Utah.
At the opening of the Zions Bank Real Academy, Real Salt Lake Owner Dell Loy Hansen hinted that a Bundesliga team would be visiting this summer, saying he made a commitment to bring a major European team to RSL every summer and hopes to bring in a Spanish side next summer.
