Real Salt Lake players Danilo Acosta, Justen Glad, and Brook Lennon have been called up to the senior national team for the first time this week. They will join 27 others in camp including Dom Dwyer, Jordan Morris, and Gyasi Zardes. Acting U.S. National Team Head Coach Dava Sarachan called up twenty-one players under the age of 24 and is optimistic about the work they will be doing this camp. With just 18 days until they face Bosnia, Sarachan is excited for the young players to gain experience with the senior team and looking forward to the future of the program.
Acosta, Glad, and Lennon were all a part of the U.S. U-20 National Team which won the CONCACAF U-20 Championship in 2017 and made it to the quarterfinals of the FIFA 2017 U-20 World Cup.
Camp begins on January 10th in Carson, California. The U.S. plays Bosnia & Herzegovina on January 28th at 7:30 PM MST.
