Spring football resumes for the Utes. Dr Chris Hill retires as Utah’s athletic director after 31 years

Utah football is back after spring break. Spring football resumes this week with a non padded practice session today. Wednesday will be a padded practice but it will not be a full tackle day. The Utes may have a scrimmage on Friday of up to 60 plays but Kyle Whittingham has not confirmed the scrimmage as of yet. The Utes are a veteran laden team in 2018 so a full slate of scrimmages may not be necessary for the starters. I assume the backups will get most of the reps on Friday if a scrimmage does take place.

Dr Chris Hill announced his retirement today as the Utes’ athletic director. His career spanned more than three decades and he leaves behind an amazing legacy with the Utes.
