The Bullpen – October 13, 2014 Edition

The St. Louis Cardinals even up their series at one 1-1 after Colten Wong hits a walk-off homerun in the bottom of the 9th inning giving the Cardinals the 5-4 victory over the San Francisco Giants on Sunday.

This was another game in the Major League Baseball playoffs that was decided by one run.  This has been an exciting playoff run in Major League Baseball.  Most games have been close which has made this a fun postseason.  Unlikely heroes have been stepping up their play.  This just shows how important every player is during the postseason.  They never know when they will have their moment to shine.

The series between the Giants and Cardinals now shifts to San Francisco for games 3, 4, and 5.  Game 3 will be played on Tuesday afternoon at 2:07 PM.

The wild ride of the Kansas City Royals resumes tonight as they have now won 6 straight postseason games.  The American League Championship Series continues in Kansas City as the Baltimore hope to get back into the series with a win after losing the first 2 games at home.  The Royals have been playing great baseball and it has been fun to see them be so successful.  They have performed well offensively, including power hitting, which wasn’t around during the regular season.  When a team gets hot at the right time, you never know what can happen.

Game 3 between the Kansas City Royals and Baltimore Orioles will be tonight at 6:07 PM.  It can be heard on ESPN 700.
