The final depth chart is out for the Utes and there were a few surprises. On offense, the first name that stood out was Jason Shelley who seems to have won the backup QB job. Nick Ford is your starting left guard. Nick Ford will also be the first offensive tackle to rotate in if there is a problem with one of the starting tackles. Samson Nacua is in the starting rotation at WR and will be a nice threat in the red zone.
On defense, Mika Tafua won the defensive end job alongside Bradlee Anae. Hauati Pututau won the starting defensive tackle job opposite of Leki Fotu. Francis Bernard cracked the 2 deep at linebacker after only being on campus for a couple of weeks.
The Utes are now in full game prep mode for the rest of the week as they prepare to face Weber state on Thursday night at Rice Eccles stadium.
#Utahfootball released their final depth chart ahead of their season opener. Nick Ford wins the LG job. The WR depth looks good. Mika Tafua has a great spring and fall camp, wins DE job. Francis Bernard is on the 2-deep after only a week in the program. pic.twitter.com/vLOv2ITFRq
