Utah and BYU football competing for 8th grader

Chase Tuatagaloa took unofficial visits to BYU and Utah this past weekend. An unofficial visit means the prospect pays his own way to the school and is not allowed to have meals paid for while on the trip. Prospects are allowed to sit in meetings with the current team and meet current players though. Not just anyone can take an unofficial visit however. You still must be invited by the coaching staff. You will rarely hear about a player this young getting recruiting attention let alone unofficial visits with D-1 coaches.

The Recruiting battles will continue to start earlier and earlier as the sport of football progresses. The 8th grader from South Jordan Utah is going to be a major prospect in the coming years. 6’3″ tall already and he has a brother on an LDS mission set to play for BYU. Check out his arm at an age when most guys are still playing with Pokemon cards.
