Utah’s Oliver Dunn named Collegiate Baseball All-American

The postseason accolades continue to roll in for Utes second baseman Oliver Dunn. The team captain was named a Third Team All-American on Thursday, just a few days after garnering All-Pac-12 honors.

Dunn becomes the seventh All-American in Utah program history, joining the likes of James Cleverly(1951), Archie Skeen(1959), Phil Strom(1981), Casey Child(1997), Chris Shelton(2001), Ryan Khoury(2006) and C.J. Cron(2010/11).

Dating back to 2017, Dunn has started in 153 of his 155 career games including 117 straight and each of the Utes 49 games this season.

During his All-American campaign, Dunn carried Utah offensively. Splits of .366/.450/.567 were good enough for 71 hits, 45 runs and 28 RBI’s. In addition to leading the team in each of those categories, Dunn paced the Utes in doubles, triples, total bases and walks.
