The Red team beat the White team 25-23 after a dramatic finish in the spring game for the Utes on Saturday, including a 57 yard game winning field goal from Matt Gay. It was a great turnout with nice weather and at least 5,000 fans in attendance. The Utes decided to hold out a few big names for precautionary reasons including Zack Moss, Julian Blackmon, Jackson Barton, Cody Barton and Bronson Boyd.
Tyler Huntley played only the first half for the Red team and went 6-12 passing for 72 yards and a TD. Bapa Falemaka had 6 grabs for 69 yards including a nice 25 yard scamper down the sideline.

Jack Tuttle led the way for the White team and went 8-14 for 86 yards and a TD. Jake Jackson had the biggest play of the day for the white team with a 49 yard grab after he shook off a defender and ran free for a TD. The TEs had a nice day to close spring football but I would not read too much into it. The TEs were not prominently featured last year under Troy Taylor and I would expect this year to be no different.
Freshman phenom Jack Tuttle showed some amazing skills during spring football. He struggled a bit at times but showed great accuracy and arm strength at other times. The future is bright for king Tut. #Utes @ESPN700 pic.twitter.com/SG1xgmv148

The Utes had over 50 recruits in town for their Junior day festivities where they let the top juniors in the country show up and check out campus for an unofficial visit.

Kyle Whittingham said he thought the spring session went well for the Utes and they stayed relatively healthy throughout.
