The Utes’ defensive line was very talented a year ago however they did not put up the type of numbers you would have expected. The sack numbers and total pressures were not where they needed to be for the Utes to be as successful as possible in 2017. That’s why I say the production of guys like Bradlee Anae and Mika Tafua needs to be much higher in 2018.
Which position group is most important for the #Utes if they are to win the PAC12 south this year? I say the defensive line has to be better than a year ago. Specifically the pass rush. Tweet us your thoughts. @GuntherandBen @ESPN700 @BensHoops pic.twitter.com/vna0dlr9JQ

Here are some of your responses online from the discussion.
The defense as a whole. There were times when it was shocking how easy teams moved the ball on us last year.

o-line – need to protect Hot-Rod Huntley and make sure running game with Shyne and Moss is better than last year

The DL was a disappointment as Utah is typically exceptional on DL. OL is where the most improvement needs to be. Last year was really bad pass pro and really bad execution of RPO resulting in penalties. I’m sure some of that is on the QB, but OL needs to improve the most.

The Offensive Line. They were young and comparatively inexperienced. I expect there will be a large improvement this year.
