The Utah Jazz (6-16) welcome the Miami Heat (10-12) to EnergySolutions Arena tonight at 7:00 PM. The Utah Jazz are coming off of a victory on Tuesday against the San Antonio Spurs which snapped a 9-game losing streak. The Miami Heat will be wrapping up a 5-game road trip tonight in which they have lost 3 out of the 4 previous games including a 102-82 loss to the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday. Overall, the Heat are 6-6 on the road. The Jazz are 4-8 at home. The Heat have lost their last 3 games in Salt Lake City averaging 94.7 points per game in those 3 games.
The Miami Heat are being led by Chris Bosh this season, who is averaging 21.5 points a game and 8.1 rebounds. Dwyane Wade leads the team in assists with 5.8 per game. Gordon Hayward and Derrick Favors are leading the Jazz this season as they both are having solid years. Hayward leads the team in scoring with 18.9 points per game. He is also averaging 3.9 assists per game and leads the team in steals with 1.7 a game. Derrick Favors is adding 16.2 points a game and grabbing a team high 8.5 rebounds a game. He also leads the team in blocks at 1.5.
The talk by Head Coach Quin Snyder is always consistency. Tonight will not be an exception. The Jazz will have to play great team basketball. They will need to pass the ball effectively and limit their turnovers. They will also need to hit their open shots when they are presented. The Jazz also have to perform well on defense as they are giving up over 102 points per game and only scoring 96 points a game. Miami isn’t tearing it up on offense either, averaging only 94.8 points per game. The Jazz can’t let them get out of the blocks early if they want to pick up the win tonight at EnergySolutions Arena.
