The Utah Jazz Continue Preseason Play Thursday

The Utah Jazz held another practice session today at Zion’s Bank Basketball Center as they hit the road on Thursday to take on the Los Angeles Lakers at The Honda Center in Anaheim, CA.  The game will tip-off at 8:00 PM and can be seen on NBA TV.  The Utah Jazz are 3-0 this preseason.

Utah Jazz Head Coach Quin Snyder talked today after practice about how they used today to review a lot of film.  He said it was a mental day.  His team has a lot to learn as they are very young and they need to be able to understand the system Coach Snyder is trying to establish.  Snyder also talked about how it is important for his players to get comfortable on the court so they can react to different situations.  That will come, it is a matter of the players getting used to what Snyder wants them to do both offensively and defensively.

Quin Snyder was pleased with the effort of Rudy Gobert on Monday and when asked about his play, Snyder said that Gobert, if he continues to play well, will help dictate his playing time.  However, Snyder was quick to say that he controls the amount of playing time Gobert will receive.

The Utah Jazz have been a fun team to watch so far.  It has been nice to see all their guys getting a chance to perform and play fairly well.  Let’s hope that the good play continues when the regular season opens up in a couple of weeks.

Carrick Felix as well as Alec Burks did not participate in any contact drills today as they continue to recover from their injuries.
