Utah Jazz Deflate Denver Nuggets with Win, 98-84

The Jazz cemented their third straight win after their victory over the Denver Nuggets, 98-84 at EnergySolutions Arena Wednesday, April 1st. PG’s Trey Burke and Dante Exum were key players that executed on offense. Derrick Favors, and Rudy Gobert contributed on both ends of the court. Denver’s Kenneth Faried led the Nuggets in points.
Burke had 12 points, 4 assists, and Exum continued to show more aggression; he reached a career high of 12 assists. This was the most assists made by a Jazz player this season.

The Jazz were a little slow to start in the first quarter. Kenneth Faried got a jump start to lead the game with 9 points at the end of the 1st, Denver outscored the Jazz 29-22.
Burke was a bright spot on offense in the second quarter, and scored 10 points and had 1 assist. Trevor Booker scored 7 points and had 1 assist also.
Outscoring the nuggets by 19 points, The Jazz powered through the 2nd quarter to lead the game at half time, 54-42.
“There were open shots and guys were pulling up like they usually do in any game situation. It just wasn’t falling tonight, so you can’t be mad about that,” said Faried.
The Jazz were able to hold the lead in the 3rd quarter, with enough rebounds and efforts on defense to carry them through the 4th to finsih the game, 98-84 over the Nuggets.
Rudy Gobert had 20 points, 12 rebounds, 2 blocks, 1 steal, and 2 assists. He spoke with the media following the win HERE

Earlier Wednesday, Quin Snyder head coach of the Jazz, said that the team was going to focus more on handling the ball. The team gave 14 turnovers to Denver, and so the team will continue to improve their passing.
