Riding off the momentum the Utah Jazz got after a win over the Los Angeles Lakers, the Jazz continued in their home game series with a matchup against the Dallas Mavericks on Monday, Oct. 30 in the Vivint Smart Home Arena. Taking the lead at tipoff, the Jazz continued to stay ahead of the Mavericks – falling behind only once – and finished the game with 104-89 win.

To start the game, the Jazz got the first lead, keeping the Mavericks trailing them for some time. Dallas called its first timeout of game after a 3-pointer from forward Joe Ingles that gave the Jazz a 7-point lead. Dallas took the lead however and by the end of the first quarter, the Mavericks led 27-21.

The second half featured the Jazz trying to catch up to their opponent, but they remained trailing for entire quarter, going into the last half 53-44 behind Dallas.

Fortunately for the Jazz, they managed to take the lead back half way through the third quarter and held it for the remainder of the time. The Mavericks only trailed the Jazz by eight points going into the last quarter of the game, but the Jazz extended the lead and kept them trailing until the final buzzer, giving the Jazz a 104-89 victory.

Up next for the Jazz, they will stay in their home arena with another home matchup on Wednesday, Nov. 1 against the Portland Trail Blazers. Tipoff is set to begin at 7 p.m. MT.
