Utah Jazz Hold Scrimmage At Granger High School

The Utah Jazz held an open scrimmage Friday afternoon in front of over 3,000 Granger High School students as part of a school assembly.  The appearance of the Utah Jazz players was kept as a secret until they entered the court following performances by the Utah Jazz Dancers and Utah Jazz Dunk Team.  Both teams started off slow as it was 6-6 following the first quarter of play.  The play improved as the game went on and ended with a nice dunk by Rodney Hood to wrap up the scrimmage.

There were flashes of good plays.  Gordon Hayward played well, Joe Johnson had some nice moves.  It was great to see Dante Exum on the floor again as he is coming back from his knee injury.  All the players enjoyed playing in front of the Granger students, the students were great fans.  It wasn’t always pretty, but it is great to know that the NBA season is just around the corner.  Unofficially, the game ended with Blue defeating the White team, 42-38.  The Utah Jazz will play their first preseason game Monday night in Portland against the Portland Trail Blazers at 8:00 PM.

Following the scrimmage the media caught up with Utah Jazz Point Guard, Dante Exum:
