Utah Jazz Practice Report

The Utah Jazz returned to practice today after Sunday’s overtime loss to the Portland Trail Blazers, 116-111.  Gordon Hayward, Derrick Favors, and Rudy Gobert did not play in the game.  The Jazz will play their final two preseason games this week as they take on the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday and the Denver Nuggets on Thursday.  Both games will tip-off at 7:00 PM at EnergySolutions Arena.

Here is Utah Jazz Head Coach Quin Snyder with the media:

Trey Burke talked with the media after practice today.  Here is the audio:

Trey Burke is coming off of a great game on Sunday as he shot 9-12 from the field including 4-5 from behind the 3-point line.  He finished with 22 points in only 23 minutes of playing time.  Rodney Hood only played 14 minutes, but finished with 15 points.  Burke and Hood are two players that will need to continue to play well as the regular season approaches.  The Jazz can’t rely on Hayward and Favors to carry the team offensively.  This will be an interesting week to see how Head Coach Quin Snyder handles the minutes for his players as they have 2 more roster cuts to make as well as making sure the team is developing his game plan.  Practice will again be crucial for the Jazz’ development this week.

The media caught up with Rodney Hood after practice.  Check out the audio here:

Gordon Hayward participated fully in practice today and expects to play in the game on Tuesday night.  Here he is with the media after practice:
