Utah Jazz Practice Report

The Utah Jazz returned to practice this morning following their dramatic 102-100 victory on Wednesday against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Gordon Hayward came up big as he hits the buzzer-beater in the victory. That is a game that this team can build off of as they continue their rough schedule to start off the year. They go up against the Dallas Mavericks on Friday as look to rebound from their 120-102 loss against the Mavericks on October 30. This was a game that Quin Snyder mentioned at practice today that they didn’t come out with the right mindset. Snyder wants to see his team compete on Friday and play improved basketball. Here is Utah Jazz Head Coach with the media following practice today:

Gordon Hayward of the Utah Jazz knows that the Dallas Mavericks is a team that is stacked with a lot of weapons. He as well is hoping for a better performance from the Jazz as they go up against the Mavericks again. Hopefully he will be able to continue his great play as of late as well as ride the momentum of Wednesday night’s game winner. After practice today he talked about last night’s win as well as tomorrow night’s matchup with the Mavericks:

Trey Burke talked about how great last night’s win was, but also knows that they have to now turn their attention to the Mavericks if they don’t want to have the same thing happen to them that occurred last time they met. Here is Trey Burke with the media today:

The Utah Jazz can use last night’s game as a confidence builder and take what they learned and apply it tomorrow. Any lead in a NBA game is not big enough, you can never give up or slow down. The Jazz will have to step up their defense against the Mavericks as they allowed Dallas to shoot 55% last time out. The Jazz and Mavericks will square off Friday night at 7:00 PM at EnergySolutions Arena.
