Utah Jazz Practice Report

The Utah Jazz (32-35) will look to win their 4th game in a row as they take on the Phoenix Suns (18-49) Thursday night at Vivint Smart Home Arena at 7:00 PM.  The Utah Jazz returned to practice today after their big win on Monday against the Cleveland Cavaliers.  The Jazz continue to fight for the final playoff spot in the West.  They are currently in the 9th spot and trail both the Houston Rockets and Dallas Mavericks by 2 games.  The Rockets and Mavericks both have a record of 34-33.  The Dallas Mavericks are in Cleveland tonight at 5:00 PM as they go up against the Cavaliers.  The Houston Rockets host the Los Angeles Clippers in Houston tonight at 7:30.  Tomorrow night’s game is another must-win for the Utah Jazz.  They can’t let teams that they should beat pick up wins against them.  The Suns have only won 6 games away from Phoenix this season.

Here is Utah Jazz Head Coach Quin Snyder with the media following practice:

Utah Jazz Point Guard Shelvin Mack has really played well for the team since coming over from the Atlanta Hawks.  In 13 games he is averaging 12.3 points per game, 4.9 assists, and 3.6 rebounds a game.  He is getting more comfortable every game and his offensive aggressiveness is really helping the team.  He talked with the media after practice.  Here is that audio:

Utah Jazz forward Gordon Hayward did not practice today as he has plantar fasciitis in his right foot.  He is listed as questionable for Thursday’s game against the Phoenix Suns.  Joe Ingles got the start on Monday in place of the injured Hayward.  He played 37 minutes, scored 6 points on 2 3-pointers, grabbed 5 rebounds, and handed out 4 assists.  Ingles also talked with the media after practice:
