The Utah Jazz return home tonight after their 5-game road trip. The Jazz will take on the Oklahoma City Thunder at EnergySolutions Arena at 7:00 PM. The Jazz come into the game with a record of 4-7 and are 2-2 at home. The Thunder are 1-5 on the road and are 3-8 overall.
Rodney Hood will be out again this evening for his sixth straight game with right plantar fasciitis. The Jazz enter the game ranked 20th overall in the NBA in points scored per game at 97.5 and 23rd overall in points allowed per game at 102.8. One area that the Jazz are doing fairly well at is in assists as they are averaging 21.7 assists per game, which is 12th overall. They do a good job at distributing the ball which is good to see. They are however, averaging 14 turnovers per game, which isn’t awful, but something they can still improve.
The Utah Jazz can’t overlook the Thunder tonight even though they are missing Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant, who are both out with injuries. Teams with injured players have unexpected players step up that can still hurt you. They are still a NBA team that can pick up a win any night. The Jazz will have to play great defense and hit their shots if they want to be successful tonight. Being at home should be a welcome sight after being on the road since November 9. The media was able to catch up with Utah Jazz Head Coach Quin Snyder, Trey Burke, and Derrick Favors after shootaround this morning. The audio files are below.
