The Utah Jazz brought in 6 more players for pre-draft workouts today as they continue to find the players they will be interested in drafting come Thursday, June 25. Today they brought in a combinations of guards and forwards.
The guards that were at the workout today were Gary Bell Jr. from Gonzaga, Askia Boooker from Colorado, Arizona’s T.J. McConnell, Shaquielle Mckissic out of Arizona State, and guard/forward R.J. Hunter from Georgia State. The Jazz also brought in Nick Paulos a forward from UNC Greensboro.
R.J Hunter was named as the Sun Belt Player of the year in 2014 and 2015. He averaged 18.4 points per game during his 3 year career with Georgia State. He also averaged 4.8 rebounds per game and 2.4 assists per game. He shot.354 from behind the 3-point line and .423 overall in his 3 years. T.J. McConnell played his final 2 years at Arizona averaging 10.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, 6.3 assists during his senior year. He earned 2015 All-Pac-12 first team honors and was also named to the All-Pac-12 defensive team in 2014 and 2015. He was also a 2-time finalist for the Bob Cousy award in 2014 and 2015. Nick Paulos is a local kid who played at Olympus High School in Holladay before heading out to UNC Greensboro. He grew up as a Jazz fan and was very thankful for the Jazz organization to bring him in. Here he is with the media following the workout:
