The Utah Jazz announced the team’s 2015-16 regular season schedule.  The Jazz tipoff their 42nd NBA campaign on the road at the Detroit Pistons on Oct. 28, opening on the road for the first time since the 2011-12 season.  Utah’s home opener comes the following week on Nov. 4 against the Portland Trail Blazers.  The regular season will conclude at the L.A. Lakers on April 13.

The Jazz begin the season with a three-game road trip for the first time since 1991-92.  Utah will start the 2015-16 campaign on the road against the Pistons, marking the first season opener with Detroit in franchise history.  The team will then visit the Philadelphia 76ers on Oct. 30 and the Indiana Pacers on Oct. 31 on the road before returning to Salt Lake City.

Utah will then face Portland at EnergySolutions Arena, marking the third home opener against the Trail Blazers and the first since 2003-04.  Other Jazz games of note include two home games against the 2015 NBA Champion Golden State Warriors (Nov. 30, March 30), the Cleveland Cavaliers’ only appearance in Salt Lake City on March 14, visits twice each by the L.A. Clippers on Dec. 26 and April 8 and the L.A. Lakers on Jan. 16 and March 28, and the Northwest Division rival Oklahoma City Thunder on Nov. 23 and Dec. 11.

Utah will play all Eastern Conference teams twice each and Western Conference teams four times apiece, with the exception of four out-of-division Western Conference teams which it will face just three times.  The four teams include: the Clippers and Memphis Grizzlies (two home, one road) and Dallas Mavericks and Sacramento Kings (two road, one home).

The Jazz’s month-by-month breakdown includes three games in October (three road), 13 games in November (six home, seven road), 15 games in December (10 home, five road), 16 games in January (eight home, eight road), 12 games in February (seven home, five road), 16 games in March (six home, 10 road) and seven games in April (four home, three road). The Jazz will have an eight-day extended All-Star break from February 11-18, with All-Star Weekend taking place February 12-14 in Toronto.

The Jazz schedule features 18 back-to-back sets (five away/home, nine away/away and four home/away).  The longest homestand at EnergySolutions Arena will span six games (Jan. 25-Feb. 5).  The Jazz will face four road trips of four-plus games, including a season-long five game road stretch from March 19-26. The team will also have one span of four games in five nights (Jan. 6-10).

Utah is also scheduled to appear on national television six times, including one TNT broadcast (Feb. 25), two ESPN broadcasts (Feb. 19, April 13) and three NBA TV broadcasts (Nov. 7, Dec. 8, March 17).  A complete broadcast schedule will be released at a later date.
